John Woodruff JWM Productions John’s extensive career in the Australian Music Business spanned over 4 decades and began in Adelaide as the Managing Director of The Sphere Organisation, which at its peak managed 12 local bands. John was educated at Prince Alfred College and continued his studies at the Institute of Technology and the Adelaide University. His founding of the Dirty Pool Management company with Ray Hearn and Rod Willis saw his new brash style markedly change the face and practices of the business in Australia. In recent years he was inducted into the ARIA Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his efforts in mentoring young musicians in this nation. The bands with which he has had an affiliation over the years include, The Angels, Icehouse, Cold Chisel, Savage Garden and Baby Animals. |
Ed St John Warner Music Ed St John began his career in the music business as a freelance writer for Rolling Stone magazine in 1977; he was 16 years old. In January 2005 Ed was appointed President and CEO of Warner Music Australia and now works with an equally wonderful family of artists including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Michael Buble, My Chemical Romance, Gnarls Barkley, Kylie Minogue, Muse, Panic At the Disco, REM, The Whitlams, Eskimo Joe, Paramore, Jason Mraz, Neil Young, Matchbox 20, Evermore, Linkin Park, Fleetwood Mac, James Blunt, The Veronicas, Green Day, Thirsty Merc, K.D. Lang, Gabriella Cilmi and Lisa Mitchell.For the last ten years Ed has been the Chairman of the ARIA Awards and the ARIA Hall of Fame, taking an active involvement in two of the biggest events in the Australian music calendar. Since 2000 he has sat on the boards of both ARIA and PPCA. In April 2008 he was appointed Chairman of ARIA. |
