Jon McilDowie Great Escape/Barfly (UK) Jon has been promoting gigs and clubs since the age of 16, first in his home town of Birmingham and then as a student in Liverpool before moving to London. In 1999 Jon joined the Barfly Club as assistant and then Head Promoter for the London venue. During this time he booked acts such as The Cure, Razorlight, The Libertines and Franz Ferdinand. Jon has now moved into the position of Promotions Director as part of MAMA Group. His job now encompasses tour and festival bookings for the whole group as well as developing initiatives with media partners such as http://www.mtv.com/”>MTV and NME and commercial sponsors such as Levis and Red Stripe. In 2006 Jon jointly founded The Great Escape Festival and Convention and oversees the event in addition to tour and festival booking including Lovebox. |

Koo Abuali FireWire Music Company Koo Abuali started her career as a professional musician while pursuing her Bachelor of Economics & Business Law at Macquarie University. In 2000, she received a Greencard for ‘Aliens of Extraordinary Talent’ based on her artistic accomplishments and relocated to the US. Having built a successful career as an artist, Koo set up FireWire Music Company in 2006; a multi service independent music company offering independent artists and labels, a unique and personalized service into the US industry. She creates and manages US campaigns for Australian artists wanting to break into the US industry. Koo manages Australian artists The Satellite Nation and Jaywalker as well as US artist Aras. She is also a music supervisor and has recently placed songs in US shows, “Ugly Betty” and “Mercy”. |

Arani Cuthbert Diva Productions Arani Cuthbert established Diva Productions in 1992 as an artist management company responsible for the international touring and promotion of the Topp Twins – New Zealand’s well-loved entertainers and national icons. Arani has an extensive history promoting live entertainment and organising tours in NZ, Australia, Britain and North America and promoted many international headline comedy acts in New Zealand including The Kransky Sisters, Bob Downe and Paul Capsis (Australia), Rhona Cameron (UK) and Elvira Kurt (Canada). Until recently Arani owned and managed one of Auckland’s most successful music venues, the Khuja Lounge, well-known for its distinctive brand of Pacific Soul. Many of New Zealand’s top DJs and musicians made their name performing at Khuja, including Nathan Haines, Open Souls and Hollie Smith. She now also represents Don McGlashan, one of New Zealand’s foremost singer/songwriters. |
