Iain Shedden
The Australian
Iain Shedden is music writer and critic for The Australian and The Weekend Australian newspapers and The Australian Online. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his coverage of all aspects of the music industry. Shedden has interviewed some of the biggest names in popular music and writes profiles, commentary, news, features, reviews and a weekly column, Spin Doctor, as well as editing the weekend paper’s music section. He is also an experienced commentator, across all media, on the music industry and brings his expertise to industry conferences as a speaker, panellist, interviewer and mediator. Shedden is a trained journalist, but also spent many years as a professional drummer, most successfully with Australian rock band The Saints. He still performs and records with a number of Australian artists as his writing commitments allow.

He now manages Amrap, a commonwealth government funded project generating Airplay opportunities for Australian music on community radio. Chris is a councillor for the Music Council of Australia.

He published his last book “High Voltage: 7 Movers And Shakers In The Australian Music Industry” three years ago and currently working on his first film script.

Nick Findlay has been working in radio since he was 16. Moving his way through community radio with a solid passion for music, Nick is the current Assistant Music Director at triple j. If he wasn’t working at triple j, Nick would spend his time listening to new music, scouring blogs for tip offs, watching gigs in hazy bandrooms etc., so it’s just as well he gets paid for it.
