The APRA Songwriting Masterclass

Fuse will run a Songwriting Masterclass on Wednesday February 24th 2010. Stay tuned as we announce the masters presenting these exciting classes. Our Masterclass program is conducted in small groups in an intensive way that allows you to learn direct from the best songwriters in the country, if you write song then the masterclass workshops are a not to be missed opportunity!

 Jen Cloher
“Being lyrically fearless has paid off in spades for Melbourne’s Jen Cloher on her triumphant second album, Hidden Hands, a superbly diverse collection of intelligent country-tinged pop. Album opener Mother’s Desk is one of the songs of the year…” THE AGE.

Jen Cloher & The Endless Sea are best described as alternative country–folk. Their debut album Dead Wood Falls (2006) was nominated for an ARIA in the category of Best Female Album. Their second album Hidden Hands (2009) was nominated by The Age as one of the top ten releases of 2009 and lauded by critic’s nationwide.

They have played Homebake, Woodford, Queenscliff and Peats Ridge Festival and toured nationally in support of Neko Case (USA), Laura Veirs (USA), Jose Gonzales (Sweden), Mia Dyson, Josh Pyke and Ben Lee.

They will appear at Port Fairy, Nannup and the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival this year with a national tour scheduled for April /May 2010.

 Pete Arthur
Pete began Stamp Music Australia in 1997, a business that assists in the writing and recording of original songs with schools, community groups and mental health providers. Spending 8 mths a year on the road, Pete has assisted to write and record thousands of songs and encouraged the start of many musical careers. As an independent artist and song writer he has released 9 albums, with Ricky & Pete, Snook, Junior and Rustflower. Pete has also produced many independent CD’s.


Steve Parkin
Catherine Haridy ManagementCharismatic yet classic in attitude, quirky yet accomplished in song – Steve Parkin’s natural talents as a singer-songwriter are evident both live and on record.
With a wealth of experience and success under his belt, Parkin is currently one-fourth of new band, Basement Birds, as well as, patiently awaiting the release of his new solo album, “Might Big Light”, due mid-2010.
